Mass Effect (2014)

A movie release of the famous sci-fi trilogy by Bioware hits the silver screen in 2014. A full length CGI movie from the acclaimed studio which also produced the breathtaking "Take back earth" trailer for Bioware's 3rd installment of the series. All the original voice actors have lend their talents once more for this project and will bring the virtual cast to life.

The overall odd choice is to go with female Shepard. Mass Effect fans fell in love mostly because of the great character design and voice acting of the male version of Shepard. Bioware states that there is a large fan base for the female version and that it felt right to make this choice. Jennifer Hale is pleased to work with the team once more and says: "I fell in love with the story as soon as I read the opening scene and I'm thrilled to be part of this new project. Shepard is a strong woman and stands her ground as much as her male counterpart would. In a world full of male heroes I think she stands out and will realy capture the audience."

The overall question is if Mass Effect fans realy want a movie based on their favourite game. The series has made making choices which alter the storyline a big part of the experience. Would a movie capture the experience players had? According to Drew Karpyshyn the story will do exactly that. "We made sure that people who never played the games as well as long time fans of the series will feel right at home. The story will take people to places known and unknown and will surprise even those who are familiair with the series."

Production has begun and come 2014 this sci-fi adventure will hit the big screen. An exact release date has not been given.

Ik heb hier geen vertrouwen in

Het verhaal is wel filmwaardig, maar hoezo nog 2 jaar wachten voor een film?
Zoiets zien we dan wel weer.

Er komen dit jaar ook animes voor Mass Effect en Dragon Age.
